Approach

Precision, and the discipline to see it through.

Dr Assan Maghsoudlou is a Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon and Head of Joint Replacement & Reconstruction. He has practised orthopaedic surgery and traumatology in Cyprus since 1998. He trained at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and took his specialty title at the Aristotelio University of Thessaloniki, with a later microsurgery fellowship in Athens.

Alongside that career he represented Cyprus internationally in canoeing for fifteen years, from 2010 to 2025. It gives him a practical view of how bodies move, strain and recover.

The aim is not the operation. It is that you can walk, lift, paddle or play comfortably.

What to expect

A first consultation covers your history, a physical examination, and a review of any imaging you already have. You will leave understanding what is wrong, what the options are — including the option of doing nothing for now — and what each one involves.
